Made with hand-carved Aromatic Cedar and acrylic ink. “Ingrained moving target” speaks upon the public perceptions of my younger black brothers. Using a Trayvon Martin-inspired face to serve as the target in a system of racism that freely casts negative traits upon these young men unprovoked. The ink-work is invested with the numerous tropes assigned to young black men in America today. The placement of the screws references Nkisi figures.
